Absolutely, positively . . .

exciting, and scary all at the same time! I'm due mid-February with baby #4. We'll have 4 children 5 & under. Wow! What a continued adventure our household will be. Our maybe a continued "whirlwind" is a better description. None the less, it's a blessing from the Lord & we are thrilled. What a perfect reminder that we can do nothing apart from Him. That especially includes parenting.

Our little gymnast

This past week Emma enjoyed her first gymnastics class. She was a bit nervous but her love for her new pink leotard help calm her fears. Finally I had my camera & was ready to capture our little Olympian all on film. Except for THAT sign. The sign for mothers like me. The sign that read "no flash photography allowed." So just imagine a little bundle of energy as one of the smallest in her 3-5 year old class, quiet & reserved as she watched & calmly nailing some of the new challenges presented to her. I'm so proud. Just proud without pictures.

Whirlwind of Adventure

Some days I wish we didn't live a life quite as hectic as the one that we do. I wish my head wouldn't constantly seem a jumble of to-do's & to-go's & to-get's and that my mouth could talk at the same rapid rate my brain fires off information. Or that I wouldn't liken myself to a hamster in an exercise wheel a lot of days, trying desperately hard to get somewhere, but really going no where at all. In a sense, that's how the past few months have felt. The past couple of months have been quite the whirlwind & I'm hoping to be spit out on the other side soon! While I like to credit myself with being an optimist, I'm also not naive enough to forgo what the realist in me says. Maybe there is as much realism in "getting spit out on the other side" as there is in purchasing ocean front property in Arizona. But in the mean time a girl can wish, can't she?! So here I sit wishing, for things to slow down, it's okay if you laugh, I can't hear you! So what's caused us to be in a whirlwind tizzy these past couple of months? At the beginning of May we made an overnight trip to South Carolina to procure base housing. In mid-May the movers (oh how I love the movers!) came to pack up, load & drive our belongings to our new house. We unpacked for 3 days & then decided it was a good time for a vacation. Smart no, necessary yes. We headed to Cookeville for a wonderful few days of visiting family, dear friends & reminiscing. I would love to say I have lots of pictures to show, but sadly I do not. In the harriedness of everything the camera never left my purse to actually be used. Thankfully we have friends who have more brain power than I, so when I can remember to email them I'll post their pictures! After arriving home from Cookeville we spent a few more days unpacking, trying to get some play time in with the kiddos & then Charlie checked into his new Battalion. The unpacking process has slowed down tremendously but we are functioning & that's what matters right now. So in the meantime until we're on the "other side" here's to jumbled brains, hampster wheels & the exciting times our life brings.
