1000 Words

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well here are about a million! :) I feel as if I have hardly had time to breathe, let alone post anything. But the guilt of knowing this is where family goes too to see this beautiful brood made me stop everything I was doing just so they could see what I have the joy of seeing every day.

A little girl who adores her big brother.

 Emma's 1st season of cheerleading.

 Swim lessons.

 Girls & giggles.

Making her 4th birthday cake & wondering where the time has gone to.

Muddin'

God made dirt & dirt don't hurt!

Mag-Pie

Our incredibly precocious, sweet, funny & she knows it & can't wait to make you laugh, little girl.

Charlie & I joke that she is a BIG personality, in a little bitty body.

The little girl, who as you can tell by the beautiful bang trim she gave herself, can't be left alone with the scissors.

My Mag-Pie, oh how I love you.

And there folks you have it. It makes me tired just reading it! :)

Where has the time gone?

So in my last post, a very long time ago, I promised I would be better at posting more frequently. I wanted our friends & family to read stories of great days, see pictures of our ever growing & expanding family & catch up on all the exciting happenings. And then reality introduced itself to my promises. I never could quite get them to meet somewhere in the middle for a nice little compromise. Maybe I should have tried talking to them over a cup of tea. Tea always seems to make things better. Alas here we are, many months later, where I will not issue a single promise. Not one single promise.

Here is what I can tell you I've learned. This is my blog, about our life & just like life, it's not always pretty. You probably aren't reading for my wit & wisdom, so why I can't I just be more real? In the middle of feeling like it has to be perfect, I'm missing out on sharing with you what life really is like. One day these memories will start to fade from my very overworked - often times confused - I want to look back & laugh about sitting in the van with 4 hungry children who are waiting to go to dinner, while my keys are locked in the house- mind.

Now it's time for lunch. I must be ok with having to step away from the computer, not having finished everything on the blog I had hoped to. But later, I will write. Or just post pictures. Or give you a recap of what life was like for the past year. Just don't ask me to promise. :)
